Residential Yoga Retreat

Sikh Nari Manch organised a superb Yoga Retreat at the Bilberry Hill Centre,
which is a residential centre situated in delightful surroundings on the edge
of the 500 acre Lickey Hills Country Park.
The residential retreat was held on 4th and 5th July 2009. During the retreat
which was lead by our qualified Kundalini Yoga teacher Surinder Kaur Sidhu,
there were a selection of Yoga sessions and workshops for the delegates to
choose from.

Our yoga sessions were suitable for beginners and the more practiced yogis
Over fifty people took part in the retreat with people from as far as,
Ireland, Kent, Wales and the local people from in and around Birmingham.

The theme of the retreat was “Building the stamina of your soul.
”Everyone took part in the early morning 5.30am (Sadhana) yoga session,
which consisted of Jap Ji Sahib, a Yoga Kriya (set) and hour mediation.

As well as the Yoga sessions and two workshops people took advantage of
the splendid surroundings of the Lickey Hills, which is a beautiful
country park with 500 acres of woodlands, hills and walking paths.
In-between yoga sessions people went for walks and it gave a chance
for people to socialise.

Hot vegetarian meals were provided. Fantastic feedback was given
by all. Below are some of the comments and pictures from the retreat.
