A Musical explosion in the last Back to Backs courtyard in Birmingham.
Event date: Saturday 8th August 2009 Times:- 6.30pm-8.30pm (Please advise everyone to be seated by 6.20pm)
The Back to Backs will be hosting this special, inspirational event highlighting uplifting, faith and spiritual music. You’ll be left joyous and aching to sing!!
Award winning acts performing will include: Sikh Nari Manch Choir Fola Irish group Black Voices
The event is historically inspired by Birmingham Court and Alley Concerts Association(started in 1898). The orchestra would play free music concerts to the working classes living in back to back courts; essentially to encourage, inspire and entertain.
‘Rejoice’ is brought to you by the Whose Story? Project. An initiative to highlight the cultural diversity of stories and heritage at National Trust properties in the West Midlands.
